ABOUT ME

I'm a Chartered & Registered Counselling Psychologist with more than 20 years in the field of mental health, working in the NHS, voluntary sector and in private practice. Working with adults and adolescents, I offer individual and group therapy, for most psychological presentations. I also specialise in trauma focused CBT & offer expert witness services.

I have an interest in the effects of the diaspora experience, and facilitate ‘Stranger in a Strange Land’ workshops exploring the effects of migration on psyche and spirit to promote wellbeing.

THE WAY I WORK

My approach to therapeutic practice is integrative, informed by cognitive behavioural, schema and existential models, as well as incorporating systemic principles & motivational interviewing techniques. I endeavour to facilitate clients to explore the 4 existential dimensions ( spirit, social, psychological, physical) in the process of becoming.
