Hello, I am a Clinical Psychologist and EMDR therapist helping improve the well-being of those experiencing mental health difficulties.
I have spent many years working as a psychologist in the NHS and I am currently employed part time in an NHS community mental health team helping those with severe and enduring mental health difficulties. This is helping people with a very wide range of difficulties to recover. I supervise Trainee Clinical Psychologists and I am on the selection panel for the Clinical Psychology doctorate at the University of Hertfordshire. I have experience of working with people across the age and ability range but my specialist interest is in adult mental health.
I have completed additional training in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Analytical Therapy (CAT) and Mindfulness.
I am regulated by the Health & Care Professions Council (License PYL27364) and a member of the British Psychological Society (BPS) and abide by their code of ethics.
I have regular supervision from a registered and experienced psychologist and keep up to date with the latest developments in clinical psychology by regularly attending training workshops and subscribing to academic journals. This is to ensure I provide a safe and effective service.
