ABOUT ME

Life can look entirely fine from the outside while feeling different on the inside: capable, articulate, holding everything together, while privately tired, unsettled, or quietly dissatisfied. Something might feel not quite right, even when it's hard to say what that is.

Many of the people I see are used to functioning well, often carrying real responsibility at work or at home. Rather than one crisis, it's usually a growing sense that coping strategies which once worked are starting to run out of road: burnout, self-doubt, strain in close relationships, or old patterns repeating despite real effort to change them.

HOW WE WORK TOGETHER

What matters most is the quality of the relationship: a space where you can be honest and fully yourself without needing to perform or hold things together. I draw on a range of approaches depending on what's most useful, rather than applying a method for its own sake. For some of that, attention goes to what's happening in the body and nervous system, since some of what keeps people stuck doesn't respond to thinking alone. As a qualified coach too, where appropriate we can move into more practical, forward-facing territory: testing a decision out loud, or thinking through what a next step could look like. When things shift that way, I say so, so you always know what kind of conversation we're having.

Sessions don't follow a fixed plan or a set of answers. Some involve careful conversation: thinking things through, making sense of experiences, finding words for what's been hard to name. At other times we slow down and pay attention to what's happening in the moment, particularly if you find yourself stuck, going round in circles, or avoiding something without quite knowing why.

BACKGROUND AND QUALIFICATIONS

Before retraining, I spent over twenty years in technology and leadership roles, including time at Microsoft, working with founders and teams under real pressure. My own experience of neurodiversity and trauma also shapes how I understand the challenges my clients face.

A Diploma in Humanistic Psychotherapy and Counselling from HOMA London sits alongside further specialist training in working somatically with trauma. Registered with both the BACP and the NCPS, I work within their ethical frameworks and engage in regular clinical supervision. I'm also an accredited Executive Coach through the Association for Coaching (AOEC).

NEXT STEPS

Starting therapy can bring up uncertainty or mixed feelings and taking that first step can feel daunting. If you're anything like me, just getting to the point of considering it takes something.

Finding the right fit matters and there's no pressure to commit before you're ready. I offer an initial free 20 minute call where you can ask questions, get a sense of how I work and see whether working together feels right for you.
