Nutritionist & Counsellor
Association for Nutrition, NCPS
I am here to help you regain control and find balance in your life. I specialise in supporting people dealing with anxiety, depression, emotional eating, and relationship difficulties. My approach is grounded in understanding the root causes of your challenges, while also offering practical, personalised strategies to support healing and change. You will find a warm, non-judgemental space where you can speak openly, feel heard, and begin to move forward - at your own pace and in your own way.
As well as being a qualified counsellor, I'm a Registered Nutritionist with extensive experience supporting individuals through both private practice and consultancy roles in early years settings and Special Educational Needs (SEN) schools. My journey into counselling was a natural evolution of my nutrition work - through helping clients with their relationship to food, I recognised the need for a more holistic, person-centred approach to uncover and address deeper issues. I offer flexible support: working with clients solely on nutritional goals, mental health, or integrating both disciplines for a comprehensive mind-body approach to wellbeing.
How I Work
Free 15-minute Introductory Chat
We will begin with a free 15-minute phone or Zoom call. This is a chance for you to get a feel for me and decide if I am the right fit. You can use this time to ask questions, share a little about what is bringing you to therapy or nutrition support, and see how it feels to talk with me. And remember - you can change your mind at any point. You are always in control of whether we continue.
Setting Up Our Work Together
In counselling, we will create a working agreement or 'contract' together. This outlines when we will meet (typically weekly), the time of day, and how long we will work together. While many clients choose open-ended therapy, I also offer short - and medium - term options with a defined number of sessions, tailored to individual goals and needs. For counselling, I recommend a minimum of 6 sessions; for nutrition, at least 2 sessions.
Session Details
Each session is 50 minutes long, whether we are working on counselling, nutrition, or both. Nutrition work also includes behind-the-scenes time where I review food diaries, analyse patterns, and prepare tailored recommendations.
