I am a fully qualified counsellor, psychotherapist and psychologist and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). This ensures that I will provide you with a high quality of care. BACP is one of the most reputable and largest associations for counsellors and psychotherapists in the UK with strict criteria for their members. It's important to know that not every counsellor is a BACP member.
I have worked and volunteered for a number of charities and organisations such as Oxfam, Greenpeace, Positive Voice, a psychiatric hospital and the NHS. I have experience working with people from all walks of life and with a wide range of difficulties.

THE WAY I WORK
I am a psychologist, an integrative counsellor and a psychotherapist. An integrative counsellor is not tied to a single theory. That means together we can create a therapeutic plan that works for you and your needs.
No matter what the counsellor's theoretical orientation, decades of research has reached the conclusion that the quality of the relationship between a therapist and a client is a far more important contributing factor for a positive outcome.
It's important that we both feel that we can work together and usually 1 or 2 sessions are enough to determine if I am the right therapist for you.
Therapy can be short-term (6 sessions), long-term (12 sessions) or open-ended. However, it is important to remember that therapy is not a quick fix and how long it will take to reach your goals depends on many factors such as how much you engage, the complexity and number of goals you want to achieve, and your readiness to start therapy just to name a few.
I am especially aware of issues that are common within (but not exclusive to) the LGBTQ community, such as chemsex, loneliness, sexual health and more. I also have experience of working with people who suffer from chronic physical illnesses.
Therapy is offered in English or in Greek.
