The way I work
As a professional in a field called person-centered psychotherapy, think of me as your guide on a journey toward better understanding yourself. My job is to create a warm and supportive environment where you can explore your thoughts and feelings, and grow as a person.
At the heart of what I do is a deep belief that everyone has the potential to grow and learn about themselves. I'm here to provide a safe and non-judgmental space where you can express your feelings, share your experiences, and explore your deepest thoughts.
I firmly believe in working with you on these three things:
Understanding your feelings (empathy)
Accepting you just as you are (unconditional positive regard)
Being genuine with you (congruence)
By keeping these principles in mind, I aim to create a nurturing atmosphere where you can start your journey toward healing and personal growth.
After an initial telephone conversation to ensure that we can work together, I believe in regular face-to-face sessions of 50 minutes. In our sessions, I'll really listen to what you're saying and reflect your thoughts and feelings back to you, helping you to understand them better. It's all about your unique perspective, your feelings, and your experiences, because you're the driving force of this process. The idea is not for me to direct you, but to support you in developing your own insights, becoming more self-aware, and working towards becoming the best version of yourself.
As your psychotherapist, my commitment is to be there for you throughout this journey of emotional growth and self-discovery. In this space, you're free to be your authentic self, work through challenges, and unlock your full potential. No matter what, you're not alone in this journey. I'm here to help.
