I have been practising as a couple therapist for almost twenty years working mainly with couples but individuals also when there are relationship concerns.
My early training was with Relate which was an integrated training but predominantly a psychodynamic approach. I have continued to follow my interest in psychodynamic couple therapy studying at an advanced level at the Tavistock Centre for Couple Relationships in London.
I have experience of working in a primary care setting offering couple therapy as a treatment for depression, when depression is impacting on the couple relationship.
I am able to offer support and therapeutic counselling for individuals and couples who are experiencing fertility issues or are undergoing fertility treatment.

THE WAY I WORK
I offer longer term work for those couples that wish to explore how past relationships patterns impact on their current relationships.
I am also able to offer shorter term work for for couples who require a more focused behavioural approach to their difficulties.
Relationship therapy can also be helpful for couples who are planning to separate and for individuals whose relationship has ended due to a bereavement or divorce.
