I’m an experienced independent therapist running my own private practice. I offer sessions online and in hired consulting rooms in Central London.
I am an experienced psychotherapeutic counsellor and an accredited member of the BACP. I work with individuals and couples and have a proven track record of success in addressing a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, relationship problems, confidence, self-esteem, and bereavement. I have also worked extensively with clients navigating significant life transitions, both personal and professional.
I have provided therapy services in a variety of settings, including Mind, the NHS, and various government departments, and previously managed a counselling agency that provided brief therapy.
I offer both short-term and open-ended therapy, depending on your needs and reasons for seeking therapy. Short-term therapy usually works best when you want to focus on a single, specific issue. Open-ended therapy may be more suitable when there are multiple areas of your life that require attention, or when there is past trauma and several unresolved issues.
We provide a calm and comfortable environment where you can comfortably share whatever is bothering you.
My core training is in gestalt therapy, an approach equally suited for working with unresolved feelings, difficult life experiences, or unhelpful thinking patterns. Ultimately, the focus will always be to help you move forward in any area of your life you’d like to experience differently.
My approach is based on creating a safe space for you, where you can share your concerns, work through unresolved issues or difficult life situations, and gain new perspectives to make the changes that feel right for you. I value connection and trust, which makes it possible to navigate challenging emotions and discover new ways of coping with difficult circumstances.
How we work together will be entirely tailored to your needs, because no two people experience any life situation in the same way. I enjoy understanding what matters to each individual and connecting at the level where you feel your life needs attention. This might involve processing unresolved emotions and challenging life experiences, understanding relationships, working through limiting beliefs and thought patterns, or moving forward from a difficult place.
I tend to work in the here-and-now as it’s only in the present that we can make changes, let go of old patterns, wounds, painful memories and unhelpful beliefs and be able to create something different.
